Kelowna's diversity is celebrated through numerous multicultural festivals held all year round. The community’s commitment to inclusivity and unity shines through each of these unique events.

Métis Rendezvous

The Métis Rendezvous is another prime example of how Kelowna celebrates its cultural diversity. Hosted on Jun 21 2023, the event highlighted the Métis culture, which combines Indigenous North American and European traditions. With traditional music, dance performances, demonstrations of traditional crafts, storytelling, and sumptuous food, the festival offers a glimpse into the rich and intriguing Métis culture.

Westbank First Nation Powwow

The Westbank First Nation Powwow, an annual event held every August (not yet scheduled), is another festival that presents a unique cultural spectacle. This indigenous cultural festival showcases ceremonial drumming and dancing alongside traditional food and craft stalls. For visitors, it's an opportunity to immerse in the rich heritage of the First Nations, appreciate their dynamic artistry, and understand the deep cultural ties they have with the land.

Oktoberfest Kelowna

The Oktoberfest Kelowna captures another aspect of the city’s multicultural tapestry. Inspired by the world-famous German festival, it features great music, traditional Bavarian games, and, of course, a feast of pretzels, sausages, and German beer. It's an event where diverse cultures come together to enjoy the exhilarating spirit of Germany’s age-old tradition.

Festa Della Repubblica

A taste of Italy is brought to Kelowna each year by the by the Kelowna Canadian-Italian Club. The festival showcases the zest of Italian culture through music, dance, art and, of course, Italian cuisine. It's a celebration that allows you to experience Italy's bright culture right in Kelowna.
