What's New for 2024
Meet Me On Bernard is launching in two phases this year. The 200 Block of Bernard Avenue will open to pedestrians on Friday, May 17, with the 300 Block following on June 29. From this date, Meet Me on Bernard will remain in place through September 2, 2024.
Bernard Avenue will stay open to vehicles on the 400 and 500 Blocks, except during special events like Block Party on July 20 and Show N Shine on August 17.
Participating businesses on the 300 to 500 Blocks of Bernard Avenue will convert parking spots into patios from May 17 to September 2 as part of the Patio Program.

What is Meet Me on Bernard?
Meet Me on Bernard is an outdoor pedestrian zone in downtown Kelowna, transforming the 200 and 300 Blocks of Bernard Avenue into a hub of activity. This summer, the street will be closed to vehicular traffic, welcoming pedestrians, cyclists, and other forms of active transportation. The sunny patios, parklets, local retail, street games, and special events create a dynamic atmosphere perfect for exploring everything downtown Kelowna has to offer.
Presented by the Downtown Kelowna Association and the City of Kelowna, Meet Me on Bernard serves as a starting point to experience the retail, dining, entertainment, and services available in the area.
