The Feast of Fields is primarily a food and drink festival where attendees can sample an array of culinary delights prepared by local chefs using locally sourced ingredients. Over 50 vendors, including restaurants, wineries, breweries and food producers, participate in the event, allowing you to discover the best of what the Okanagan region has to offer.

Educational Experiences

Aside from the food and drink, the event also hosts a number of educational activities. Attendees can participate in workshops, watch cooking demonstrations, and listen to talks from food and farming experts. There are also farm tours available for those interested in learning more about where their food comes from.

The Okanagan Feast of Fields is typically held on a Sunday in late summer and is for 3-4 hours. It is held at different farms in the Okanagan region each year, showcasing the diversity of local agriculture. The exact location is announced a few months before the event.

Tickets for the event are sold online and include all food and drink samples. There are also discounted tickets available for designated drivers. Note that the event is a 19+ event.

This year marks the 14th Annual Okanagan Feast of Fields, set to take place at Niche Wine Co. in West Kelowna on Sunday, September 15th. Niche Wine Co., a family-owned winery, produces small-batch wines in West Kelowna, British Columbia. Founders Joanna and James Schlosser are dedicated to crafting home-grown, handcrafted wines that consistently sell out and win national and international awards.

The winery sources nearly all its grapes from its estate vineyard, situated at 620 meters elevation in the hills of West Kelowna. This site provides the ideal conditions for growing Pinot grapes, with hot summer days and cool nights. The vineyard spans approximately 7 acres, cultivating varieties such as Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Noir, and Foch. In 2021, Niche opened its farmgate to the public for the first time in over a decade, offering farm-fresh wines, outdoor experiences, and stunning views. In the summer of 2024, Niche will debut the Outside Inn, a collection of luxury cabins located beside the vineyard.
